IHOP-KC Worship and Prayer Conference

I spent this past weekend with my dad at the IHOP-KC (International House of Prayer) worship and prayer conference in Kansas City, MO. I have been looking forward to visiting the IHOP campus for sometime now and let me tell you God did not disappoint. For those of you that are unfamiliar with IHOP, it is a 24/7 prayer movement that was started by Mike Bickle in 1999 and the prayer and worship has not stopped since! It was amazing to see upwards of 200 people, of which the average age was about 21, packed into a prayer room chasing after God! I literally felt the heaviness of the mandate that God has placed on my generation to seek after a lifestyle of prayer, fasting, and consecration. “Business as usual” will no longer satisfy. My prayer coming home is that of Psalm 132:1-5

Lord, Remember your servant David
And all his afflictions;
How he swore to the Lord,
And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
I will not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
Until I find a place for the Lord,
A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
