I have tried fasting many different ways. The longest I went was 40 days, 21 days just water, 19 days juice. Never did feel hungry. Did pray a lot. Also did 7 days just bread and water. 21 days just juice and many in between. It has kept me very healthy I believe. Plan to start this year out fasting again. Might switch to protein drinks after a while, since i have to work.

I really liked all the tips for fasting! I am going to try to do a small fast (at least at first) over Christmas break. I'll be off work from Dec 24 - Jan 4, so I thought I'd rather try it for the first time at home instead of being at work. And I am thinking that I should start small...maybe I'll just fast until late afternoon/evening with some juice and lots of water on my first try and see how that goes! I saw that most of these suggestions are more for extended fasts...any suggestions for something smaller? Or do the tips/advice pretty much stay the same?
